refrigerator runs but doesn't cool ?

(freezer top fridge bottom type )

i recently melted all the ice that was build up in the back of freezer with a blower, since i was recommended to do, but now turned on the fridge , it won't cool or freeze. Both fans are working and the compressor runs ; although the bottom back part of the fridge looks dirty,

What can be the problem??

Check the coils under the fridge. (on the back in older models) If they are covered in dust, they need to be vaccumed off. This might help your problem. Also, if it's old it might just be out of freon.

If its not a frost free type, maybe you used a tool to help loosen the ice and accidently scraped the freezer coils in the freezer letting out the freon,it will feel oily to the touch, then it is kaput.
