What would happen if you used Infernity Doom Dragon's effect on a Spirit Reaper?
I believe that your opponent would not take any effect damage from Doom Dragon's effect because it misses the timing, but I'm unsure :/
Thanks in advance

Chain Link 1: Infernity Doom Dragon targetting a face up Spirit Reaper
Chain Link 2: Nothing
As you can see, Spirit Reaper doesn't destroy itself because it has a "Trigger Effect", a trigger effect cannot be chained to another effect that is about to resolve
Trigger effect can only be activated in the next possible Chain Link 1 if it meets the requirement
So Spirit Reaper would be destroyed via Infernity Doom Dragon's effect, and the controller of Spirit Reaper takes 150 effect damage
If the Spirit Reaper is face down, then the controller does not take any damage since face down's are consider having the atk of 0

Spirit Reaper doesn't destroy itself until after the effect that targetted it resolves. Nothing misses any timing (in fact, there's not any timing to be missed here as Spirit Reaper's effect is mandatory, people just seem to like to throw around the phrase "misses the timing"), and Infernity Doom Dragon's effect resolves as normal, destroying Spirit Reaper and dealing damage to the opponent.
Source(s): Relevant ruling: When "Spirit Reaper" is targeted by an effect, "Spirit Reaper" is destroyed by its own effect AFTER resolving the effect that targeted it. For example, if "Spirit Reaper" attacks and "Magic Cylinder" is activated, designating "Spirit Reaper", first "Magic Cylinder" will resolve, negate the attack, and inflict 300 damage to the controller of "Spirit Reaper". Then, after that, "Spirit Reaper" is destroyed by its effect. - Anonymous6 years ago

because of the effect. Spirit Reaper would be destroyed by its own effect which happens first because its a conditional response not a cost. (mtg reference) when Spirit Reaper is targeted he dies. Infernity Doom Dragon has to target and destroy by its own effect. but since Spirit reaper does it himself the effect of Infernity Doom Dragon is negated.
