Is there a ghost in my house?

Spirits that have transcended usually don't make noise, higher dimension spirits usually float without noise.

It could be a ghost....but again it could be residual.....the difference here is ghost are intelligent, while residual is unintelligent. That means if it's a ghost you can communicate with it. What most people think is a ghost, usually is a residual type haunt, looks like a ghost, and makes sounds, but a residual is not a ghost or spirit, it's just left over energy that plays over and over again usually the same time and the same way or place. So you have to do your home work to ascertain what type of haunt you have.

I saw myself as a residual, like I said it's not a spirit, it cannot communicate with you, it don't know your there. A residual don't mean it's a dead person, just means that the energy is trapped.

Leave your camera on at night and relax. When you hear something weird in the next room check the computer screen to see if u see something ''weird.'' Take note of weird things like colored orb(s) what seems to be a human arm, foot, etc. and if ur lucky u might catch a weird voice on ur camera. but i highly highly doubt that, but its possible. be sure to close all the blinds so no light makes it into the living room so the camera wont catch reflections.

Before you worry yourself with the possibility of having a ghost I would do everything possible to figure out that it is not. It does sound like It is your cat but without further investigating you can't be certain. I also live in an older apartment building and I know with neighbors all around you , when they walk it can sound like they are in your apartment.I would recommend one night just to sit up without any tv or music on and to try to recreate these occurrences or to see if they happen the same way again. More often than not it is something that is explainable but sometimes it very well can be a ghost because they do exist. I hope you are able to solve this mystery.

Probably coming from next door. Spirits if they exist couldn't make footstep noises.

Most likely vibrations form the people next door, below, across, above you. A lot of people at first mistake it for ghosts or intruders. Could've been the neighbor's pets running amok at night.

I think what you are hearing may just be something residual energy. I have the same sounds in my home but have figured out that it is energy from my son. I hear him running up and down the steps in my house when he is not home. I have experience in this type of occurrence so I hope this helps.

in the area you are hearing noise - hide it so if humans are involved

they do not see it and find out what the source of the noise is.

Ya never know. It could be something logical. If it is a spirit I imagine it would be a very restless spirit. I would suggest maybe setting up a camera, you may end up catching something.
