I moved into an apartment a few months ago. Last night my boyfriend and I both woke up because we heard sounds in the next room. I thought the cat had jumped on the rocker and it was going back and forth, but the cat was at the foot of the bed. We heard heavy footsteps that sounded like someone was quickly walking through the livingroom. My boyfriend ran out there but no-one was there. He believes someone was in the house, but I don't think anyone could get out that fast. We were both very frightened and couldn't get back to sleep. I don't know what to make of it. Can someone help? If it is a spirit, what do we do about it?

I bought the computer a little over a year ago and have had several problems. We have to keep restoring it to factory settings. This time, it asks for the driver. Any suggestions? Where would I get a driver? Can they be downloaded?

(PS never buy a Toshiba.)

I recently moved from a quiet street where my cat used to go outside to a busy street where he is now an indoor cat. He was fine for the first few weeks and is now sitting in the same spot. He only gets up to eat and use the litter..He just doesn't seem to be himself at all.

Daughter was working at a hair salon and did not pick up her last paycheck because she lost a key that needed to be returned. She found the key a few months later and went back for her paycheck and was told that it was null and void because it was too long ago. Is there any way she can get her pay?

I want to transfer my outlook express address book from my desktop to my laptop. How do I do that? Can I put them on a flash drive? I tried but could not get it to work.

I went to DMV and found out that I have a suspended license due to a traffic ticket I got several months ago. The ticket was for my side mirror being broken. I never got a warning or anything. DMV said to go to the police station in the area that I got the ticket.

I need to be prepared for when I go there. Please, can someone tell me what to expect? Will I lose my license? I've never had a traffic ticket before and my license was clean.

I went into the store and when I came out the car sounded like the battery was wearing down. I let it sit a few minutes and when I turned the key again there was no sound whatsoever. A few hours later it started. The next day it started right up. A few hours later I turned the key and no sound again. I had the battery tested and it was shot (it's less than 2 years old). I had a new one installed and even though the lights, radio etc worked, the car was dead and did not make a sound.

*Note: it's a 1993 Saab and hasn't had any major problems until now.

My ancestors came to the US in the 1700's and I'd be interested to know how they might have dressed. When I try to find these sites it always shows how the wealthy dressed, not the common man.

The pictures I scanned used to come out wit low resolution so I could put them on Ebay. Since my brother put pictures on with his camera they are coming out too large to put on the website. I have been using paint program to resize them but it takes forever and sometimes freezes up. How else can I resize these or get it back to how it used to be?

Is it expensive to have a painting appraised and where and how would I get that done? Are there places online or a good website that could help?

I can't see anywhere on my question where I can choose a best answer. Can someone tell me how to do that? Thanks!

I had two brother cats for five years since they were born. One of them got sick and had to be put to sleep. I got a new kitten that I thought would keep him company. He seems very depressed and lays in the spot where his brother got sick. He acts different personality-wise. He just seems sad. He has gained a lot of weight, too. What to do?

Change? What does he really stand for and how is he going to get the troops out and end the Iraq War? His supporters seem like 1960's dreamers...
