When will the battle stop and truth take over, Why will “none of those who fear death will be saved” ,......?

.............do you know why, why this is good in Jesus Christ?

what/who is death?

But I answered and said to him, "Lord, do not mention to us the cross and death, for they are far from you."

The Lord answered and said, "Verily, I say unto you, none will be saved unless they believe in my cross. But those who have believed in my cross, theirs is the kingdom of God. Therefore, become seekers for death, like the dead who seek for life; for that which they seek is revealed to them. And what is there to trouble them? As for you, when you examine death, it will teach you election. Verily, I say unto you, none of those who fear death will be saved; for the kingdom belongs to those who put themselves to death. Become better than I; make yourselves like the son of the Holy Spirit!"

    Our relationships, our hopes, our gifts, and even our persecutions… are based on God’s friendship to us Carey. But, death we need not fear if we are in the Lord Jesus, for the worst anyone can do to me is to send me to Heaven. How can we fear, when Jesus is near? God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame...for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:9-13

    You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15:3,4

    Jesus says, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." John 10:27-30

    2Cor. 5:13 If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

    Taking up our cross…

    “Take up your cross and follow Me” means being willing to die in order to follow Jesus. This is called “dying to self.” It’s a call to absolute surrender. After each time Jesus commanded cross bearing, He said, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self?” (Luke 9:24-25).

    The symbol of the cross brother, as you well know, is that it is the sign of victory of good over evil, and of life over death. It for all mankind is the reminder of God’s limitless love, and is our source of happiness, Jesus, the Son of God, sanctified the cross with His blood, and made it the carrier of His blessings and holiness. We who love the Lord, do value the cross of Christ, for this is a reminder of all that was accomplished before the cries… of “ Father, forgive them, they know not what they do, and also of the greatest words ever spoken “It is Finished!”

    The sufferings of this present time are not to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us… Roman 8:17

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Death
    If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. John 8:51
    So… we must ask ourselves… why if , Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave for all men, we don’t understand what and who death is. It is good you ask, as we need to see the revelation of Christ. We need to ask, what more he did mean, we need brother, to have our spiritual eyes opened here, to that which goes beyond carnal understanding of The Word Of God, and common sense. We need to see our wealth and inheritance with willingness and faith. What was God meaning when he said… this about the curse of death?
    And your covenant with death shall be dis-annulled and your agreement with hell shall not stand… Isa. 28:18
    I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death I will be thy plagues; O grave I will be thy destruction…. Hosea 13:14
    Another few questions, worthy of consideration Carey are these…
    What fully, did the writer of the book of Hebrews mean when he described the heroes of faith of the Old Testament when he said, that this cloud of witnesses surrounds believers in the flesh looking to us here and now to bring them into perfection? What were we to perfect, and why were they looking at us for, what are we supposed to do, that causes them to have so much attention our way? Why is their attention on the saints who are physically alive? Are they looking for us to accomplish in the flesh, that which they could not attain ~ victory over death? Wasn’t Jesus the Passover lamb? His blood delivers us from death, in all its forms, by delivering us from sin. Why is Death enthroned? He came to deliver us form the bondage of death and corruption. What is the goal of the enemy here that keeps us in the shadows of darkness where death reigns? The Melchisedec priesthood has no beginning and no end. The Sons of God, removed from the bondage of death, and into the life of Jesus Christ. I don’t know all the answers, of what and who is death, but for sure part of this is the Babylonian religious system of mankind…
    “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory though our Lord Jesus Christ… 1 Cor 15:55-56
    Matt. 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. 25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?
    Rev 2: 10~11
    Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
    To be saved... one must abide in the vine... Jesus Christ!
    Deep question… you ask here Carey…
    Leads me to contemplate….
    many questions, I do have...
    as well
    such as....
    What is the wealth of our Victory, in Christ?
    Do we know the vastness of what is contained
    in those Storehouses of the Lord, the treasures...?
    What all does having "Sonship" mean for us here and now?
    How many sons are there? hmmmmm.....
    Praise the Lord, for his Kingdom is unfolding...on earth as it is in Heaven!
    May the full truth... come...
    Lovingly
    "When will the battle stop and truth take over...?"
    When we lay down our weapons & get off the battlefield.
    Jesus is Teaching the secret of how to be in the world but not of it with these words.
    The cross he speaks of is the task of dying to the world & the belief in the self we conceive ourselves to be.
    This death, this dying before you physically die is to lose all identification with the world & what we currently conceive to be our self & to find our True Identity in the Spirit.
    Thus it is said we will become a New Creature, we will be in the world & not of it.
    How is this done or how can you know if you have died to the world?
    What is important to you?
    What makes you angry?
    What do you treasure & are willing to be a hypocrite to obtain?
    Do you seek to seem large among men?
    Is every step you take upon Holy Ground?
    What is the source of the words you speak?
    Jesus the man achieved the Christ which is the consciousness of Being the Son.
    He is a true way shower.
    He asked that we follow the way that he showed us.
    The path to self Mastery, the lying down of our concepts of self, the dying before we die is the single most difficult task we will have in multiple lifetimes.
    But it is also the cross we must all pick up & carry at some point.
    Thank You for this Q!
    Many Blessings!
    EDIT:
    "what/who is death?"
    As Jesus speaks of it here, it is the essence of what it truly means to be Born Again!
    It is True Life.
    It is to truly come to Remembrance of our First Estate.
    Many Blessings!
    This is the plot of the gospel.
    You falsely believe that the flesh is your life, all the words Jesus spoke were not directed to the flesh they were directed to the spirits that live within the flesh and give life to the flesh.
    The words Jesus spoke are food, bread for the spirits, the flesh profits nothing from the word of God the Father.
    Because we believe that the flesh is our life, we are fearfull of death, we are even willing to kill to save our lives, and are unaware that when we even try to defend our lives, we are killing the very same spirit that gave life to our body.
    But beware, Jesus Himself gave us the truth, and the "Lord" answered is not Jesus nor is it the Christ, because at this time the New Name given to the Christ was the name "the word of God"
    Did you know that the computer you're using to type this question works because science figured out what electricity is, and how it's generated by the interaction of electrons and protons around the nucleus of atoms, and what "electromagnetism" is, and you know what?
    It's not magic. When you throw the switch on a light-switch to turn it on and off, the light generated by the light-bulb or florescent tube is "not" caused by God.
    It's caused by things "we" made.
    And the same technology you are using to quote from the preserved writings of ancient "people" is the very same technology that enables us to determine that the claim that there is a supernaturally invisible super being creator hovering around everything is "extremely" unlikely and implausible.
    It's so "far-fetched" an idea, that in this modern day, it's fundamentally absurd.
    Just because ancient people wrote down on scrolls what they think God said, does not mean that there's a God, nor does it mean that what they claim God said is something that we should take seriously thousands of years later at a time when humanity has discovered that invisible beings like "God(s)" do not really exist in reality, they just thought that, and it turns out they were wrong about their assumptions, and they were never really "spoken to" by some invisible beings, it was just their awe and wonder that caused them to believe in a God or any other invisible being.
    Why does "The Lord" always just speak to a few people out of billions of people?
    Why doesn't this "All Powerful & Wise" God you speak of and believe in just tell "everybody" at the same time what he wants us to hear and do? Why does he use the ineffectual human "word-of-mouth" way of spreading his messages to everybody down the generations?
    That's would be the "worst" and "lamest" way to tell humanity his thoughts.
    Do you believe that stuff just because it "sounds" ancient and wise?
    I can easily write that kind of stuff. Here. I'll prove it. I'm going to write something off the top of my head that "sounds" ancient and supernatural...
    "And lo and behold, The Lord said-eth unto the descendants of Cannannonia "Go out not into the world with deceit in thy hearts, but travel upon the wind & wisdom of thine own God Who Created Thee Out of His Infinitely Bountiful Love so that thee may fulfill thy annointed destiny, so commanded on the Sacred Apocryphallic Stones gifted to thee by the prophet Hohammadia during the Age of Thessalacckawoo..."
    See?
    Anybody can write dramatic-sounding holy scripture. All they need is a high vocabulary, a dramatic "camp-fire" story-telling abiltiy, and something to write on (like fragile papyrus scrolls that had to preserve in dry caves to prevent mold)...
    Just because it sounds "lofty," "ancient," and "authoritatively commanding," doth "Not" make it true...
    Ok i can see we are to mortify the deeds of the flesh...put to death
    Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
    Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
    I am with you in all you said. No one is qualified to criticize an Islamic scholar when he or she does not have the knowledge that Scholar has. The prophet peace be upon him said that Ulama' are the inheritors of prophets and therefore we should respect them in whatsoever circumstances. And more than that Allah says in his Holy Book that {Those truly fear Allah, among His Servants, who have knowledge: for Allah is Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.} [Quran, 35: 28] and Ulama' (Islamic scholars) are the most and truly fearful people of Allah. May Allah lead us to the Right Path, Amen.
    Was there a question somewhere in that mindless ramble because I didn't find one. All I see is a long rant about yours being the only god and the only way and calling that "truth."
    My own belief is that in order to call something true you have to be able to back up your statement with facts and proof. You have neither, therefore, you do not have truth.
    Here endeth the lesson.
    @SDA Frank
    True Bible is an oxymoron. What I said up there applies to you and that horrid KJV.
    That's because when you're planning a rebellion, the people who hide at home and accept whatever masters take control will have to live with the consequences. It's another illustration of the fact that the story about Jesus wasn't really religious but political.
    This isn't Bible. Seekers for death? What religion is this from? Care to share?
    Please, sweating blood and begging God to be spared death was done by the BEST of us. Do not read too much into one verse; read in light of the entirety of scripture.
    When will the battle stop and truth take over?
    When people stop believing in invisible people that live in the sky.
