Does anyone have a Baja DR70 dirt bike?
These are sold at Tractor Supply and Pep Boys for between $500 and $600. I'm thinking about getting one for my son. He is 8 years old. I'm sure Honda's and other name brands are better but $1800 is a bit much for a kids dirt bike. Thanks for any input you can give.
I've seen a lot of reviews. Some say they are great and some say their junk.

it was my first bike, and for the first year it was great fun, but the 2nd year it sorta went to ****, id reccomend geting a used honda 70 or even a xr 100, go on craigslistyoull find stuff that still runs great for less money

You could find a used Honda for the cost of the Baja DR70. The Honda would hold up for many years and if you ever needed a part the local dealer would be able to get it.

do not waste your money buying any of the crap bikes that pep boys or tractor supply sells they are junk. try looking around for a used honda crf50. very good choice for your son to learn to ride on. do not i repeat do not buy any bikes from pep boys or tractor supply.
