I hate when people dress up as non scary things for halloween!?

I totally get you. My neighbor goes all out on halloween. Fake body parts, scary music, and zombie props all over his yard. Not to mention he sits in a chair pretending to be a statue, and when a kid comes by he scares the crap out of him. When you don't have a scary costume it sort of defeats the purpose of the holiday...And yes Rena, It does really god damn matter!!!

I see what you mean but little kids should be able to dress in whatever they want whether it's scary or not. I like scarier costumes better and I dress in scary costumes but people should be able to dress however they want. It's Halloween so everybody enjoys it and people dress how they want, it's really not that big of a deal. Happy Halloween!

At first I was thinking the statement is kinda shallow, but then I realized I'm on the same boat as you. lol, yeah scary things are the heart and soul of the american halloween (=. Of course, casper ghosts and good witches are good for little kids.

Originally, the whole point of dressing up on Halloween to was to look unlike yourself to confuse the spirits roaming around. That didn't necessarily mean you had to look scary, just not yourself.

So carrying that tradition on, you could literally dress up like anything you want to, even if it's not scary.
