Dont think too much about because its not that bad once you're there. Usually the first days are the easiest so relax and enjoy not having to do any work. You'll quickly get used to the atmosphere and besides they say high school years go by the fastest. Just don't over-think it

First of all: stop stressing! its not have as bad as you think its going to be. Its funny looking back when i was a freshman i had and older sister that tried to freak me out, but i went in thinking positively (and respectfully) and being myself and so far the years (im a junior) has been good. Honestly the worst you have to worry about is sophomore who have time on their hands, junior and seniors are too busy to really even care as long as you don't clog the halls like most freshman. all in all just do your work and have fun!

Don't be afraid! I am a JR.. In high school. High school students tend to tell the in comming students that they will get trash canned or shoved in a locker to scare them. Its just a big joke! As long as you know who you are and stand up for what you believe in you will do great!
In classes, take notes! take notes! take notes! did I say take notes!? Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask a teacher to repeat what they just said, chances are someone else is thinking what you are just dont have the guts to ask!!
Have fun its what high school is all about!

hah, i have to agree with the first dude in a way..
but here are tips.
1. dont take the thought of highschool so seriously. act as if it werent a big deal. as if you were used to it.
2: dont make references to highschool when you talk, unless if its the topic of conversation. Some examples of things NOT to say are: "highschool drama" "highschool party" "all a part of highschool"...substitutes would be "unneeded drama" "party" and "hell" just dont use those phrases, or anything similar. it will make you seem dramatic and annoying to the upperclassmen.
3: dont compare highschool to movies or tv shows. EX. "this is just like that [episode of/scene in] [insert highschool based show or movie here]"
4. BY ALL MEANS, AVOID DRAMA!!! dont talk about it or complain about it. if you, or your friends are tangled in drama, get untangled asap. you can try to sort out the drama by talking it out privately and face to face. if you dont like someone, you dont have to be friends with them, but dont be rude.. dont gossip. stay out of it. if all of your friends are gossiping about someone, just say "im not gonna say anything, because its their buisness, not mine"
5. Be relaxed, and act relaxed. no matter who youre talking to.
6: last, but not least... in fact, its the most important. GET GOOD GRADES!!! dont worry about extra curriculars as much as the credits you need for classes. You want to have a good start academically, so you can have classes with kids in your grade, and when youre a junior or senior, you will have more free time to do random stuff, since you will have enough credit to graduate. dont be afraid to ask questions. they WILL NOT think youre dumb or anything, which i had to learn the hard way...im probably not going to be able to graduate with my class. I wont have enough credits, because i was a slacker that was too nervous to ask the teacher questions..

Just relax I'm pretty sure there as nervous as you. I was like that too but then I realized it's just another crappy school year. :/
