The different prayers, at least in my opinion, are just different ways of expressing yourself to God. Prayer is prayer and whichever you use it's fine. There are so many ways to ask/give thanks for so many things it's just nice to try some different ones. Making up your own prayer is fine as well. Whichever prayer you feel comfortable using is fine.

My prayers are different from some people's because they're not to the same deity.

I would imagine the circumstances might also have something to do with which prayer would be used. If one is asking for something they need, they'd probably use a different prayer than if they were just praying because they were thankful or looking for peace, etc.

What do we mean by different prayers? Do you mean one for eating, one for sleeping and such? If so, each prayer has a different meaning. Such as the one for eating, you're being thankful to God for being able to eat a meal. The one for bed, you are asking God for protection as you sleep. So on and so fourth. Just try and understand the prayer, and when is the appropriate time to say it, then you should realize a bit what each one is for. They're for different situations.

Different prayers say different things, like asking for different things, and in different ways. That's why we have different prayers.

Go to Matthew 6:1 Take good care not to practice your righteousness in front of men in oder to be observed by them...6:5Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; becouse they like to pray standing in the synagogues and on the broad ways to be visible to men.

Truly i say to you , they are having their reward in full.

you however when pray, go into your private room and after shutting your door , pray to your father who is in secret..... ...vers 7-But when prayng do not say the same things over and over again , just as the people of the nations do,for they imagine they will get a hearing for their use of many words,,,,so, do not make yourselves like them.........this...answer from God!!!! very easy to anderstand...........
