Anyone swing a Microphone around better than Roger Daltrey?

I saw an old concert of The Who this weekend and the way he flung that Mike around was scary!

BQ - What other bad things have you seen done to a Microphone?

Update:

YA! wanted to put this in the Tennis category. I guess it was because of the words "swing" and "Roger"?

Update 2:

Edit: Deke, Yes I definitely do!

Update 3:

Probably not. I wonder if he's ever hit anyone with it.

Only thing I have worth mentioning involving a microphone is a guy who plays slide guitar with the stand. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oZBMv16DWE

haha...Trixie, I windmilled a golf club once at a driving range. I'm not a golfer, needless to say.

No one could touch Daltrey in that department!

Heck where it came to doing Tommy live on stage(for the best examples of this either get the 2001 deluxe version of Live At Leeds or watch the 2nd disc of Live at Kilburn which is The Who Live at the London Coliseum 1969),Daltrey couldn't be matched because he didn't sing the songs,he actually became Tommy on stage during the time that The Who would run through the whole album on stage!

Now how many singers can say that?

BQ:Do any of The Jonas Brothers singing qualify as bad things done to a microphone?

Certainly not Billy Idol - a mate (a good few years older than myself) saw him with Generation X in the 70s. 2 songs in Billy started swinging his mike round like Daltrey, hit the guitarist on the head and knocked him out! End of gig! Daltrey is a professional!

I wonder if he screams like that in bed??? :P

    *swoons*

    Sorry, got carried away there

BA: I think Jim Morrison hit some chick in the head with the microphone and then dated her afterward.

No, Roger Daltrey is the king of microphone swinging! Period!

I've always been tempted to throw a bowling ball the way Pete Townshend plays the guitar.... I guess it's a good thing I don't bowl much.

Daltrey is the best at so many things.

I have seen The Cult in concert a couple of times and Ian Astbury uses the microphone stand as a dance partner the entire time. Always wondered why he wasn't using a cordless mike in the later years...

Cheetah's right. Ian "Assbury" earned his nickname by doing quite a few naughty things with microphones.

Dakota Fanning does a pretty good job of that

You should see Cedric from the Mars Volta. He's a freaking god with microphone dancing.
