I used a Mac now my thumb drive won't work?
I had no choice but to use a mac to edit a document before I submitted it for publication. Now, when I try to use my drive on my home computer, it says it has to be formatted - which I'm assuming means I'll lose all my work. Are there any fixes for this?
(Obviously I'm using a pc with windows)
Remember those stupid "I'm a mac" commercials? Remember how they were contrasting themselves with the pc? That's what I meant. Obviously pc stands for personal computer but it generally refers to a Windows operating system. What's the opposite of a personal computer? A communal one? Seriously people. Linux isn't used by 99% of anyone who uses a computer so it doesn't even get mentioned. Thanks to the one person who answered with a legitimate response.

Sorry. There are applications that can help. MacDrive is one.

Why would that be obvious? Plenty of people use Linux variants for their home systems.
Best option would be to use the thumb drive in a Mac and then email the documents to yourself. Apparently the thumb drive was formatted when used on the Mac and your Microsoft system doesn't recognize it. Shame that other systems recognize MS FAT32 and some recognize NTFS but Microsoft doesn't do much to help with compatibility by recognizing alternate file systems.

Obviously? Really?
PC = PERSONAL COMPUTER. They come in Apple, Linux, Windows and Unix.
Snow Leopard is Solaris-UNIX.
On a Mac you can make two partitions, one for Mac and one for Windows. Then you use Bootcamp or Parallels to run them.
