Why are people against the Mosques and Muslims?

Al Qaeda media & politics keep telling dumb ignorant Muslims that America is out to get them. (using past incidents of course)

American media & politics keep telling dumb ignorant Americans that Islam is out to get them (using past incidents of course)

If mosque is built then dumb ignorant Americans are defeated, but dumb ignorant Muslims say "Hmmmmmm?????? Really!!!". If mosque not built then 1- Al Qaeda wins, 2- more dumb ignorant Muslims recruited, and 3- Group of Americans citizens who happen to be Muslim are discriminated against by the large population.

So it is really fighting terrorism and siding with America to let a Center be built a couple of blocks away from Ground Zero. If you oppose, then you're siding with the terrorists.

Because many people have been convinced that terrorism is motivated by religion; by people who would rather we didn't know or think about such things as the US/British overthrow of Iran's democratically elected government in 1953; installation of Shah Pahlavi; alliance with Saddam Hussein; sanctions that caused the deaths of thousands of innocent children; unjustified bombings, and a lot more atrocities over the past 60 years.

The only thing I know of is people being against a Mosque being at ground zero. Muslims need to get over it. It's just too soon for Americans right now. It'd be like Christians building a church in the middle of the Auschwitz camp and getting upset with Jews for not understanding.
