what do you think is the stupidest or worst song to be a number one hit?
I was recently looking through billboards list of number one hits...and made they are many "what were people thinking?' song. So which song would you say deserves that title?
@ Mr. NatFaz
incorrect!....billboard top 100 is based on sales and raido airplay. It has nothing to do with opinions!

So many songs, so little space.
My absolute least favorite song to hit #1 would be "H*ney" by Bobby Goldsboro. I hate the song so much I consider it a cuss word, hence the "*" to block out the "O".
WHY: It wasn't the first "aw, the girl died" song (Dickie Lee was writing things like that in the late 50s), and there was that slew of, as Steve Goodman called them, "dead girl songs" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3WVT8gCmDk ). None of them, however, were as syrupy or smarmy as "H*ney." That song is so sugary that diabetics cannot listen to it!
And worse, the song stayed at #1 for FIVE WEEKS.

Not sure if it was a #1, but Nickelback - Photograph... I'm definitely sure it was a top 5, and maybe a #1 rock radio hit...
Kid Rock's All Summer Long definitely charted at #1 in some places... I hate that song too...
Anything the Black Eyed Peas or any of their members have gotten onto the radio
And Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl... the song is annoying yet tolerable pop rock bullcrap, but I had to deal with retards on my facebook changing their status to "I kissed a girl and I liked it, something something cherry chapstick" for months...

isn't this previous information? i'm sorry that is this way of super deal to you, yet while that's what ruins your day then i do no longer know in case you're fortunate or no longer. I do think of you ought to reread your question from the perspective of a sane person. So, eh, did she deserve it? If human beings offered it then i think so. i would not purchase an album via the two, so do no longer look at me

Wow! Tough question. Most number one hits are pretty mindless! Personally I'm going to go with
"Calle Ocho" from Pitbull. I mean, "1234 uno deus tres quattro!"
All this guy proves is that he can count, in an amazing total of TWO different languages. If that's what people consider number one hit material my faith in the world is depleting. Hahahaha
