Harry Potter, because I grew up with him. He's brave, imperfect, but good all the way through.

I would name Jamie Fraser of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. He is strong and protective, yet tender and respectful of Claire's need for independence. He is totally committed to her no matter what. I love seeing their relationship grow and mature through the years. He is the ideal man and mate.
