Well, the obvious choice is a heart.
For me the first thing I thought of was a big bubbly red heart (cartoonish) and my kids. Also a kiss came to mind (set of lips)...

Suggestion: A sculpture of a doe helping its newborn fawn to rise and take its first steps -- the letters love intertwining as in an embrace -- a gardener planting flowers and giving a rose to his granddaughter -- a film showing interaction and affection between family members -- good luck!!!
