The greatest integer function?

I need help with this homework problem.

The greatest integer function, f(x) = [[x]] or f(x) = int(x), is defined as follows:

For every value of x, f(x) is the greatest integer less than or equal to x. Graph it below for -5 < (or equal to) x < (or equal to) 5

    you are always looking for the integer just to the left of the value or itself if x does not equal the value.

    so for positive values 4.3, 4.4, etc., the integer is 4, the greatest integer LESS THAN 5.3

    so for negative values -4.4 -4.3, etc., the integer is -5, the greatest integer LESS THAN -4.3
