Name of modern jazz waltz for big band?
I heard a fantastic modern waltz on a local jazz radio station (KSDS 88.3) in the middle of the night (around 11:25 or so, for any fellow San Diegans that also listen to 88.3), but couldn't catch the entire title/artist of it.
The DJ also happened to not record the name of the track in the station's playlist archive.
The closest I can remember the title being is something like "Many Better Days Ahead" or "Many Brighter Days Ahead," and I do remember it was by an Asian composer. The DJ also introduced it as one of the composer's "recent releases." I tentatively believe the composer is also female.
I can also narrow it down a bit more:
•It is NOT "Better Days Ahead" by Pat Metheny, or any big-band remake of it.
•The composer is NOT Toshiko Akiyoshi.
•If it makes a difference, the main theme is kind of like a fugue, and there is one solo for trombone, and one for baritone saxophone.
If anyone happens to know the title and/or composer/performer of this track, PLEASE let me know what it is!
Thanks!

PAHAHAHA I love that one!! Keith Moon reports are THE high-quality. I like the only wherein he used to be staying at a resort with a curfew of two AM and he stayed out manner later than that. He got here again inebriated as a skunk (so what is new) and the doorman would not permit him in. So Moonie takes certainly one of his many lovely brief-lived vehicles, crashes it by way of the glass revolving door on the front and drives as much as the entrance table of the resort and asks for the important thing to his room. I additionally like the only wherein he floods an complete resort flooring via busting water matresses. And his notorious "twenty first birthday" social gathering on the Holiday Inn. Okay, there demands to be a tale guide committed entirely to the escapades and adventures of Keith Moon. That could be a hoot.
