D:\Setup.ins and SETUP.EXE error?
When I tried to put a CD Rom disk into my computer and set it up, it gave me the error:
D:\Setup.ins file has become corrupted. Unable to load the installation instructions.
Error 704
So after it wouldn't work on autoplay, I explored the disk, found the setup file, clicked it and it gave me this error:
Setup has caused an error in SETUP.EXE setup will now close.
If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.
I restarted my computer twice, tried it again both times and still the same error. I loaned the disk to my sister to use for her son (it's a game) and it worked perfectly fine before I let her borrow it, got it back, and this error appeared. What could be the issue? Is there any way to bypass this error?
Unfortunately I tried it on three different computers. It did the same thing.

Blockbuster - and similar type stores - offer a repair/restoration service for scratched or damaged disks.
( IF repeat if, this is what the problem is )
Seek their advice.
I have yet to try it personally, but I'm told a little toothpaste rubbed gently over a scratched area sometimes works!!

Unfortunately the cd got corrupted. May be (may be!) through not careful use or sometimes even a tini tiny scratch can corrupt the data in the cd. You can try cleaning the bottom part of the cd with cloth or something. You wanna on may be different computer if you.
