Which future HOFer do you think deserves a World Series ring the most?

Vladimir Guerrero

Todd Helton

Jim Thome

Roy Halladay

None of these guys has ever won a World Series, though Thome and Helton have at least been there. I would argue that each of these guys is a lock to make the Hall of Fame, and it appears that each has a legitimate shot to make the playoffs this year. Regardless of which team you're rooting for (try not to be biased!), which guy do you think is the most deserving of a World Series ring?

BQ: Do you think he'll get that ring this year?

BBQ: Can you think of any other long-time veterans/ future Hall of Famers who deserve a ring, even if their teams aren't going to make the playoffs this year?

I'd say Halladay, what with his time spent in Toronto (tortured by being on a good team that could never win the division). He'll probably get one some day, maybe this year.

After that, I'll go with Thome, just because he's just about the nicest guy ever- he's consistently voted as among the nicest players by other players. Of course, they all 'deserve' a ring.

BQ: Halladay has about a 50% chance, Guerrero a 33% chance, and Thome a 15% chance of a ring this year, I think.

BBQ: Ken Griffey, Jr, of course, but he won't get one (unless he's a manager or coach. Isn't it sad the Reds are FINALLY good, after he left?). Also, Mike Mussina. Of active players, I'll choose Ichiro Suzuki. Hopefully he can get one with the Mariners one day (hey, maybe Griffey and even Edgar Martinez will get ones, too, by being in the organization!).

Thome. Only because he's the one who's the most underrated. He's a top 10 all time home run hitter and yet I've seen people on this site ask if he's a future Hall Of Famer or not. He deserves a ring so that people finally give him some of the recognition he deserves.

BQ: They have a great shot at it but I don't think they'll win it.

BBQ: I know he's retired and can't get one but I'd like to throw out Ken Griffey Jr.

I don't see Helton as a Hall of Famer, but I would say I want to see Jim Thomes have a ring, and also the Twins.

BQ: Yes, especially if the Yankees lose the LDS.

    BBQ: Johan Santana

As much as I hate to say it, Roy Halladay deserves a ring the most out of all of those. He is year in and year out one of the two or three best pitchers in baseball. He had to endure several bad years in Toronto and handled it all very professionally. Now he finally has a chance to pitch in the postseason and earn a ring. As a Braves fan, I hope he doesn't do it this year at least, but he deserves a shot at the World Series.

As I look at all four of these future HOFers I would have to go with Roy Halladay. This is a guy who has been the work horse to a mediocre franchise his entire career. Now he has shown the Phillies what a great talent and teammate he is. As much as I would like to see all four eventually win a ring, I think Halladay deserves it the most.

    Jim Thome.

BQ- He has a shot at it, Twins will get the 2nd seed and home field advantage in the first round.

BQ2- The only Tiger I can think of is Magglio Ordonez. He left the White Sox the same year they won one.

which guy do you think is the most deserving of a World Series ring?

most deserving? No one is deserving until they arrive. Championships earned/Champions are made. Not elected/chosen. Winners.. Favorite would be Vladimir Guerrero. then Jim Thome.

None of the above this year.

But if you say deserving: Ernie Banks.

i think halladay deserves one. he is one of the best pitchers in the MLB, maybe the best. he should've had so many 20 game winning seasons in his career if it wasnt for his team not scoring any runs. he had that problem in toronto and still in phillies even with their good offense.

i dont think he'll get it this year. their offense isnt good enough

    P.S im a yankee fan
