When someone refers to Christian bands or music, what do they mean?

I don't hear anyone refer to Buddhist bands or Jewish music or Confucian tunes; I hear it all the time with regard to Christianity. Can someone explain this to me?

i think that when you hear christian music, but not jewis or confucian. is that christianity is all over the world and it is large. christian music is simply worship music, done in a more modern form, what is popular now. i think that christian music copies modern music and doesn't really stand as its own other than the words used. i don't care for cristain music, to bubbly and i'm not one. and i hate it when they put songs that may sound christian depending on how you look at it on the christian stations (father and mother are christians) but they were never ment that way and the band that sing that song are not a christian and don't sing that kind of music at all, and sometime quit the opposite.

Because the bands their referring to are proclaimed christian bands, and most of the songs they perform talk about Jesus, or the bible. The reason no one talks about buddist bands, or jewish bands is because their music is barely on the radio.
