All I can remember is the main character's father traveled in space and while he was on earth the mc went on the ship and ended up never getting off and traveling with him and his crew (which included aliens). I remember that a week or a month on the ship was equal to like 10 or more years on earth and when they hit jump speed the mc experienced motion sickness. I remember the cafetaria had a computer thing inside the table where you sit and the mc managed to get it to create French fries but they tasted horrible.
