Sometimes a blood clot can create something similar to scar tissue in the vein over time. Likely this is what is going on with you. Because after 4 years the clot should be gone. But narrowing of the vein is rather likely.
If you are pregnant, they can put you on Lovenox or Heparin injections. And this should keep you and your baby safe. In my first pregnancy I had a blood clot in my thigh. And the injections helped me. My daughter is now 4 and very healthy. And then I got pregnant again and went back on the shots and once again I had a healthy baby.

My Aunty had a blood clot during her last pregnancy, she is very prone to them and is constantly on oral blood thinners. However because she was pregnant, she couldn't take her normal meds. She had to go onto a different one that was safer for baby. The meds that she had to take, she had to inject into her thigh daily, it was pretty hard, and she was absolutely full of bruises because of the self-injecting but her and baby were just fine in the end. Embolism can be a problem that develops in some pregnancies anyway so there are solutions out there, you'll be fine. Good Luck!!

cnt pick up if ur asking if u hve to get rid of the baby? anyhow if it is about the blood thinners ur taking, i took them throughout my pregnancy and it was prescribed by doc. not sure if u want the baby from ur question, if u do ud probably just be regsrded as high risk whic means youll have a few additional tests and appointments.

I don't think you can be on blood thinners when you're pregnant - or at least when you're ready to deliver. There is probably a way your doctor can work through managing your health condition and maintain a healthy pregnancy.

Lovenox and Heparin are said to be safe blood thinners during pregnancy. You should just tell your obgyn every medical issue you have and any medications you take.
