Sounds like a problem with the ignition leads and or coil. Could be spark plugs.

Probably not been serviced for a while.

Only a proper physical looking at will sort it.

Not sure what planet "jim" is on but it sounds like a classic case of the coil pack breaking down or as Timbo says duff plug/lead. Cars DO start with faulty coil packs. "jim" must work on old cars with a single coil modern cars.

It sounds like your car is just old and it should be handle with care. If you haven't had it serviced since you got it, take it in soon. Preventative Maintenance is the best way to go.

its ur cat that is plugged. the person who said coil is stupid the car wouldn't not start if that was the problem. id bet anything its ur cat or possibly fuel filter is plugged

im really sick of ppl answering questions that have no idea what there talking about. the 3 ppl who answered before clearly have no idea about cars

if u have any questions just email me dont listen to those morons that answered u when they have no idea even bout there cars clearly

if u take it to a small muffler place that makes there own pipes they will beable to fix the cat the cheapest most likely.

Source(s): i know cars inside and out. ive been doing this for a very long time

Do you get it serviced? People ride drive cars without servicing and expect them to run forever.
