Can I Take This To A Lawyer? URGENT!!!!?
I just asked one of my co-workers if she could install a program on my computer so that I could make a quick edit to our company web site. She was asked by me and my boss over 3 weeks ago to make a small change to our HTML code and she never got around to do it. I simply emailed her and asked her if she could install the program on my comp so I could get it done. She emailed me back and said that she got it done and next time "try not to be so, how do I say this politely, stuck up!"
Does this constitute as harassment?

Damages?
Go on with your life. You didn't pay for a service; this is a technical legal term called a favor.

No. Not harassment. Can always see a lawyer but will cost you money fir nothing. People are allowed to be jerks. If he bugged and bugged you or went behind you calling you names or followed you home then it could be harrassment and procedure would then be to report her to boss. However Do NOT do that now as you would be one looking foolish and would be too much fir what little happened. She is just not someone to seek out for friendship. Usually access to web sites are limited and not everyone has passwords to get in. Not usually a program but just passwords.
When bosses are jerks is when it gets more difficult. Have to be laid back a but as you will work with weird people over your lifetime. I figure you are fairly new at the job or you would have come across a weirdo more than once. Just keep your cool.
Source(s): Do you understand what a suck up is? Like a "brown-nose" and just that you cowtow to boss trying to make brownie points too much. May or may not be true but neither of you harassed the other from what you said. It is a lot more severe than a comment like that. Harassment to be a problem is sexual type harassment or major bullying. Hope that helps for future. - David SLv 71 decade ago
Although it was rude and childish, it was not harassment. If I were you, I'd forward that on to the boss so he/she can see what behavior you're putting up with. No, it won't make her more friendly toward you, but she's not very friendly now.
Harassment is a pattern of abusive behavior over an extended period of time.

No, it's not harassment and it's definitely not URGENT!!!! Let it go. Maybe she was having a bad day, week, or month. We've all sent emails we later regret.

No, that is not harassment. You can contact a lawyer, but they're not going to be much help.

No.
You have to have been damaged in some way for a lawsuit. Having your feelings hurt is not actionable.

Sure, go ahead and take it to a lawyer.
After he gets finished laughing at you he will hand you his bill.

???????
You can take it to a lawyer if you want to waste your money.
No, it isn't harassment.
You shouldn't work at a job -- obviously, you can't handle dealing with other people. Have you considered checking yourself into a mental health facility?

Lady, are you serious? and are we crazy to be giving this question one second of our time.
