How is genital herpes transmitted?
Is genital herpes just passed through an exchange of fluids or can it be passed by mere penetration?
If the female partner was clean and the male had the herpes virus, could he transmit it without any exchange of fluids?
Also, vice versa, if the female partner had herpes, does the male have to ejaculate in order to be infected?
Odd question, I know. I'm just curious. Haha.
Thanks for your answers.

Herpes simplex viruses (both 1 and 2) must have access to the body through injured skin or through healthy mucosal surfaces (such as in the mouth or genital area). Each virus can be carried in bodily fluids such as saliva, semen, fluid in the female genital tract or in fluid from herpes sores. The risk for infection is highest with direct contact of blisters or sores during an outbreak.

Herpes is a virus. It does not have to be during an outbreak that the virus is transferred, because the virus is still present when there is no obvious eruption. One example, I know persons who carry the herpes simplex virus. This is the version of herpes that causes cold sores. These can be transmitted through kissing, even when there is no cold sore present. Fortunately, this virus can be controlled through the chicken pox vaccine. Genital herpes is a different story. Valtrex is a drug for genital herpes - the commercials say that herpes can be transferred with or without an outbreak.

My best friend has had genital herpes for about eight months now, and it's been really rough. She's had about 7 outbreaks. Everywhere I read it says it stops flaring up so much after time, but its not getting less frequent for her. She's been on Antiviral meds the whole time, too. She also has type 1 diabetes which she has had her whole life, which really weakens her immune system. Will it ever get better?
But after a friend share this video everything has changed.

Skin to skin contact will most def transmit herpes. A person may not even know they have it and may not show any signs of it at all but direct contact with an infected person does the trick.
