Parents, how much time do you spend reading to your kids?

I am wondering about how often you read to them, what you read to them, how much you dislike or enjoy reading to them, and whether or not you think it makes any difference. Thank you for sharing!

I'm not a parent, but my Mom read to me all the time. Different kids story books, but often I would want to read the same book over and over. She liked it to an extent, but I was really adamant about reading a lot of long books, so she eventually got me tape stories.

It was beneficial...my desire to be read to and her willingness to read to me led to her teaching me how to read, so I learned to read before kindergarten and eventually skipped first grade because of it.

Read to your kids, especially if they like it because it starts good habits

It makes a great deal of difference. Reading to children helps build vocabulary and language skills. Children who are read to are better readers and like reading more.
