What are the duties of a guardian ad litem in an adult protective case?

    BOTH parents pay it and they speak for and in the best interest of the child!

    the court will appoint a GAL, generally in most cases the state will pay. The GAL duties are to protect the rights if the individual and look out for their best interest as it pertains to the case.
