Why can I only successfully do math when I'm drunk?

This isn't a joke... This is a serious question that I'd like someone with Psychology/Psychiatry experience to answer.

When I'm sober, I cannot understand math... I can't even figure out 9 x 6 in my head. But put 5 beers in me, and I can nail my Algebra homework, every question, every time!

What is wrong with my head? Should I seek professional help? And if so, what kind?

Showing up to class with a six-pack in me doesn't sound like a good idea, and I'd like to fix the problem, not treat the symptoms.

---As a side note, when I play guitar drunk, I can nail pretty much any Jimi Hendrix song, but sober... forget it! Same goes with video games!!!---

Thanks guys!

Update:

Please only give serious answers... My college degree is at stake here. I already dropped out once... I'd like to avoid it happening twice.

Yea sounds like you are too anxious or nervous when sober so you can't focus but when drunk you are relaxed and can think better.

Maybe you are too uptight when you aren't drinking. When you're drunk, you're all relaxed and not so stressed out so you can think and play better.
