Download itunes 10. When you plug ur ipod, it will come up as Erase Purchases, or Transfer Stuff from your ipod to itunes 10. Press Transfer Purchases.

I had to do this when i got a new computer.

    Here are some tips:

If all your songs were purchased from iTunes store, use "Transfer Purchases" option to transfer. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329

If some of your songs were from other sources, you will need to utilize some iPod transfer program to help you, like this handy one called Tansee iPod Transfer

    http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tansee-iPod-Tra...

Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer.

With just a few simple clicks, it will help you transfer all songs/videos from iPod to your selected folder on your computer, and then you can also easily add those files back to iTunes.

More importantly, this won't overwrite any original files on your iPod. And all song names are preserved.

Here is the step-by-step guide on the whole process:

    Best luck!

If you have non-purchased songs etc on ipod, they will be erased when you transfer purchases. In fact, you can use an ipod to computer transfer program to help.I personally use Cucusoft iPhone/iTouch/iPod to Computer Transfer. It helps me to transfer all my songs/videos/photos/playlists etc from ipod to my new computer directly and safely. It works well for me,you can give it a try.

    Free download it at: http://www.ipodtocomputercopy.com/ipodconverter/ip...

It even has step-by-step guide on the whole process.

    Hope it helps.

Plug on your iPod to the workstation. whilst iTunes opens, do no longer sync it. rather, enable Disk Use. Then, open up the iPod in My workstation. you could now merely replica each and all of the track data onto your troublesome disk. Then, drag those into iTunes (or regardless of software you like). whilst they are all on your troublesome tension and in iTunes, you're able to sync your iPod thoroughly returned.
