Can I buy 2 £18 items from overseas and still be free of import VAT?
I want to buy some computer parts from canada. (ebay) I know that if the item is under £18 GBP you are free of import VAT charges. But what if I buy multiple items from the same ebay seller that are both under £18 but together amount to more than £18? Will I still be free of import VAT charges? I will be paying for them both at the same time, to combine postage fees.
Quick answers really appreciated, auction ends very soon! :)

Engage brain .. if I import a Container load of stuff that's under £18 per item, do you think I will get away with not paying duty/VAT ???
Obviously not .. the limit is PER SHIPMENT (or per order, if you prefer)
The only way to get away with your 2 items is to place 2 orders a couple of days apart (to make sure they are shipped in separate packages)

"Lookie right here, 20 for the cost of 18! maximum suitable deal of the day!" "extra useful than a bakers dozen, 20 for the cost of 18!" "Why settle for 18 once you will get 20?" "18 the former day, 20 on the instant, _____ day after today?"
