I have about 8 ounces of medium rare strip steak left over from dinner. Any suggestions on how to use it up?

I'm thinking along the lines of a green salad or maybe a pasta salad? Ant experienced recipes out there?

I'm also a fan of using leftover steak for a stir fry. I also like frying it up with eggs for breakfast. Maybe use it in a burrito or in a salad.

Hi: You can make a Thai beef salad:

    Ingredients:

Leftover cold steak sliced against the grain thinly

    Green leaf lettuce

    1/2 tomato sticed

    1/2 cup sliced cucumber

1/4 cup sliced green and red bell pepper

    1/4 cup sliced onion

    1/2 cup sliced white mushrooms

    1 green onion - sliced

    Dressing

3 Tbs fish sauce (or soy sauce)

    3 Tbs lime juice

1 Tbsp sugar - or to taste

1 clove garlic - sliced and removed before serving

2 thai chili peppers - soaked in dressing and removed before serving, or you can use black pepper to taste.

    1 Tsp oil

Marinate sliced steak in dressing for 5 mins. Remove but retain dressing. Line platter with lettuce leaves and put other vegetables on top. Place steak last of all on top and pour remaining dressing over and serve.

Cut it up Small, add it to some Stir Frying peppers, Onions, Mushrooms & Broccoli; add alittle water & BBQ Sauce the last couple of minutes of cooking- & you'll end up with "Leftovers"- that taste even BETTER than the Original Meal the steak came from !!! :)

Cut it into thin strips and put it in mushroom soup or gravy. Serve over rice or noodles with a salad. Or slice thin and put on top of a nice tossed salad.
