Bliss Magazine Work Experience?
I'm doing my Work Experience this year (i'm in year 10) and I live in the UK. I would LOVE to be able to do work experience at Bliss Magazine, but I'm not sure how to go about asking? Or if not bliss, do you know of any other magazines which would do year 10 (14/15 year olds) work experience for a week?
Thank you! :)

I did my work experince with Bliss magazine 12 years ago, when I was 14.
Firstly check in the magazine, there's a part where they have all the names of the people who work at the magazine. At the top it tells you when they are taking Work Experience from or up to.
You have to write to them WELL in advance expressing your wishes to work with them (Write or Email, so that it is in writing).
Address the Email or letter to the Editorial Assistant.
I believe they take 2 work experience per week.
I would also try any similar magazines to Bliss (not sure what magazines they have now, at the time I wrote to Bliss, Smash Hits, TV Hits and Sugar - I got places at both Bliss and TV Hits).
I would try Heat, Now, More...etc.
Good Luck! And if you do get a place - enjoy! I got lots of free stuff at Bliss! Plus they gave us a goody bag of stuff on our last day. And they don't make you make Tea and Coffee!!

I was planning on magazine journalism and it is literally dog eat dog world. You need qualifications such as GCSE English & Media, then carry that on to A-Levels. Then you would need to study Media at university on honour's degree (better chance this way) In terms of jobs, try working for the college paper, then become an intern at a local newspaper then graduate onto a journalist for that paper. You start at the bottom and work your way up top. I was given this advice when I studied Media & English. The real question is, can you handle it? It's not easy as it seems

First Congratulations! It very much depends on what part of the magazine they want you to help out on. It is possible that you may get to help out in a number of jobs. Don not worry the experience will be great, just make sure you accept quickly if you have not already done so.
