Jim Joyce is behind the plate tonight for tonight's game, and Armando Galarraga will pitch?
Thoughts? Will Joyce get emotional again? Will he call everything Armando's way? Or are you personally sick of hearing this?
BQ: Chances he gets the perfect game TONIGHT? X)

I dont think Joyce will get all emotional again. Joyce remember umpired the home plate the game after Gallaraga's near perfect game. And I felt he handled it well and with all that seperation since then, i think Joyce will be professional enough.

Also to the user Farve, you really think Armondo has a 1% chance of throwing a perfect game? Really? That means each team(since they play 162 games a year) should be averaging like 1.62 perfect games a season.

Both Jim Joyce and Armando Galarraga are both professionals and that they have both moved on about that incident happening and Jim Joyce will call the game down the middle like he does see it

Joyce and Galarraga are both professionals and have moved on from the incident. Joyce will call the game straight up and fair; Galarraga will stick to pitching. No emotional exchanges at home plate today.

I am personally sick of hearing anything Jim Joyce and Armando Galarraga. He blew the call and we all know the story.........it's a great story but I've heard it once and I don't need to hear it over and over again.
BQ: He won't.

It could be a very positive book. They both seem like the kind of people who look at the good that can be brought from a bad situation. Remember Gallaraga's reaction to the blown call? He didn't go ballistic, he went back and got the 28th straight out in a row. Maybe there is a lesson there, a counterpoint to the Lou Piniella type of reaction that we usually see.

Ya I am getting sick of it a lot, its like it happened so long ago, and I think Joyce and Galarraga are past that now, and its done with. I am sure he will call a good game.
BQ: Anything is possible in baseball, but I just don't see that happening tonight.
Good question!

Imagine the situation...
Galarraga has gone 8 2/3 perfect innings... The batter keeps fouling off pitches and works the count full... The next pitch goes right down the middle, batter watches it go by, and.... Ball 4!
Wouldn't it be something?
lol

Joyce might give Gallarraga some calls.I won't be sick of it till another Tigers player pitches a perfect game.
BQ:99.9%. No its 3%
My question will be posted at 7:00.

well, I'm sick of hearing about it but today is a little expected... I think they go out and play as if it never happened.
BQ I predict two hits against Galarraga in the first inning.
