So, ive gotta cookie fiasco?HELP :) haha?

So i was making these delicious white choco chip cookies http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/White-Chip-Chocolate-... and I used about a tablespoon less flour then called for (not enough) I noticed when I was dropping them on the baking sheet they weren't very thick. I pulled em out and they all fused into one giant cookie/brownie. Was it the flour possibly? or just too close together?

I don't think a tablespoon made that much difference. Looking at the recipe, it could have been the butter. If you get it to soft the batter will be too loose. If you have solid shortening you can substitute that for the butter to make the batter thicker next time.

You need to use all-purpose flour instead of self-rising. That is what makes them spread out. Baking soda is not baking powder, so that could be the culprit. It also sounds like too much butter to me.

could be both, if it really runny, then you need to add flour into it, i think the recipe require more flour
