is my memory card corrupted?
how do you know if the memory card on your camera is corrupted? I just took some pictures to see if they would actually upload and it has been uploading picture number one for about 5 minutes now. If I uploaded them manually I am 90% sure they would upload, but obviously I am not going to upload every picture manually. I had to delete all of my pictures off of my camera from prom and a trip to chicago because nothing was uploading. I have a nikon coolpix s230 and I have seen this issue before. could it be a camera issue? software? or just the memory card?

since they are not uploading
it is most likely the card
did you format it before using it?
the manual told you to do so
if you upload manually
highlight all of them
and try it that way

The one way to find out for certain is with a card reader. If a reader doesn't see your card it's bad.
There are several ways to destroy these cards but the most common is using them as a storage device and displaying them with a camera - bad idea.
These cards have a one way data flow. Camera to card, card to computer, format the card in the camera - never the computer, only the camera.
