Tater Tot Casserole recipe?

so i want a tater tot casserole and i know there are many out there, but can someone sort of formulate one for me? i have sour cream and tater tots and i want hamburger in there too. . . i hear a lot about cream of mushroom, but i hate mushroom, and i'm thinking cream of chicken might not go so well with hamburger haha, but i don't know, thanks!

Update:

i hate onions. and the 2nd person obviously just didn't even read that i hate mushrooms. but thanks to everyone else, i'll kinda come up with my own, maybe corn and/or green beans mixed in!

    Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

    1/2 onion, chopped

    4 cups frozen mixed vegetables

1 (19 ounce) can cream of chicken soup

1 (32 ounce) package frozen potato rounds

    Directions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray 9x13 glass baking dish with cooking spray.

2.Spread hamburger into bottom of pan, covering entire bottom, gently tamping beef down. Sprinkle with diced onions. Layer frozen veggies as next layer. Cover with the soup, straight from the can, carefully spreading with spatula to cover entirely.

3.Layer tater tots on top, covering entire top with tots. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees) for 1 hour, or until hamburger is done. Check after 30 minutes; if tots are getting too brown, turn down to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C).

This is the recipe I use for the casserole, but I've omitted the ground beef for you. It ought to still be good. TATER TOT CASSEROLE 1 can French style green beans, drained 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 Cup milk (instead of 3/4 Cup, since there is less food) 1 small box tater tots 1 Cup shredded cheese salt and pepper, optional Layer green beans on bottom of casserole dish. Then spread the tater tots on top. Stir together milk and soup and pour over all. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake (uncovered) at 350 degrees for one hour. Allow to sit at least 15 minutes before serving. You might want to check it after it has been baking for 30 minutes and see how it is doing. With the reduced total volume, I'd expect the dish to take about 45 minutes rather than an hour.

1 (32 oz.) package frozen potato rounds

1 (16 oz.) container sour cream

    1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 (10-3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

    1 (6 oz.) can French-fried onions

Preheat oven to 350°F. (175°C.). Grease a 9x13 inch-baking dish. Arrange tater tots in the prepared baking dish. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cheese, and mushroom soup.

Pour this mixture over the tater tots. Sprinkle onions over the top of the casserole.

Bake for 45 to 60 minutes.

    Ingredients:

    2 pounds hamburger

    1/4 cup chopped onion

    1 package frozen tater tots

    1 can tomato soup

    1 can stew tomatoes (drained)

    1/4 cup ketchup

    salt and pepper to taste

    Parmesan grated cheese to taste

    Directions:

Brown hamburger and onion, drain. Place in baking dish. Mix in tater tots, salt and pepper and some Parmesan cheese to taste.

Combine soups, stew tomatoes and ketchup. Pour over hamburger mixture. Mix well. Put some more Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake uncovered at 350F for 40 to 45 minutes or until hot.

Brown a pound of ground beef with one diced onion and a minced garlic clove, salt and pepper. Mix in one can cream of chicken soup and a half-can milk. Layer in 8 by 8 baking dish, and top with a mixture of tatertots and french-fried onions; bake at 350 for about 45 minutes. You can also layer in some green beans if you like; we enjoy it this way. Another variation is to start the same way, and add a layer of Sauteed Chinese veggies; celery, more onion, bean sprout, water chestnuts, and spike the soup with a dash of soy sauce. Oh, also......any cream soup can be subbed for mushroom; chicken, celery, onion, whatever you have on hand. It will never make much of a difference.

I like to make it taco style, using a can of nacho cheese soup, shredded cheese(1-2cups), 1 lb hamburger cooked with taco seasoning and chopped onion, 1 can drained diced chili style tomato, 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained(optional), half a bag tots. Put it all in a 2 qt casserole, bake @ 350 for an hour or so, until bubbly.
