I started college late, at 25 years old. I am majoring in nutrition, with a minor in psychology.?
My GPA is 3.8. Right now, I am 27 and a junior. I want to do an unpaid internship in nutrition in order to gain experience. I'm afraid they won't hire me because I am too old. Should I still apply? Without the internship, I wouldn't be able to get a job when I graduate.

You are not old if you are under 35 :) and it sounds like you need the internship - go for it!

Internship is easy, really. Anyone are more than willing to hire you, because they only need to pay you a small amount of allowance. My advice is, find a big multinational company if possible, you will be able to learn more. I've done this in two different company in IT position. In a smaller local company, I was used as a cheap labor, doing all the dirty job of carrying a computer around and stuff like that. My next one, I went to a multinational company, Infineon, and I learn some very valuable skills and experience with a new software Sharepoint 2010 that is still new in the market. You have great GPA too, doubt you will have any trouble finding job

Too old at 27? That's terrifying! I'm 25 now. According to you, my life is over in less than two years.
Of COURSE you should apply. Are you really going to flush your opportunity out of fear of rejection?

You're not too old. Your education is more important. Don't let your age make it a factor for not getting the internship..apply and work hard! :)
