Does he like me? Or is it just sympathy?

There's this guy (really skinny but cute. I love his eyes and cute face lol) but...we went on a date and we hang out alot with another guy friend. He pokes me alot and we chase eachother trying to poke the next (it's a game we made.) I want him to ask me out already...he always says I'm very pretty, and the other night he said I was beautiful, but sometimes he'll space out I think but he also says that he'll never let me pay for dates and he wants to buy me lots of things (Even though I refuse both of those things). If he does like me why doesn't he just ask me out already? Or am I just to impatient?
