Regarding Diabetes and Pain Medication?
I have type two diabetes and suffer from fibromyalga, arthritis in my spine, and now something called osteopenia. Doctors tell me I cant take pain meds and tylenol and ibuprofen arent working, besides finding another doctor, any suggestions? Why cant I take something to manage the pain, its very bad. Thanks.

Pain management is one of badly managed sectors of modern medicine where most patients get under-treatment.Better consult a much educated Endocrinologist.

I am eating what is on my list of things to eat, trying to lose weight , and am really trying to stay off insulin. I have a partial Kidney left because I've had Kidney cancer surgery, and have a Kidney function of around 40. I have been on Blood pressure meds for years, and am taking 3 Blood pressure meds .and Lasix. My Doctor wanted to put me on Insulin and I told him to give me 3 Months that was Mid May. So By Aug. my time will be up. and I will have a 3 Month test to see how I've been doing. I have succeeded in bringing my blood pressure down, and lost almost 15 lbs. As far a exercise, I do my house work, some work in the yard but do not do exercise as there is a very large area where muscles were cut to remove my kidney for surgery and this section tends to cramp, and swell, and cause a lot of pain when I do things like mow the lawn , rake, sweep, vacuuming. I consider those chores more important then exercise for myself., I need to be able to be a functioning, contributing member of my family, or I do not need to be here, I'm 60. not a young person, and do not intend to be a burden on my family.

I would get me some Tramadol..It an opiate but not addictive. I live in Thailand , so I buy them by the thousands.Very inexpensive. And too much side effects with the fake aspirin.
The doctor isn't in pain, so he don't give a damn.
My motto: Treat the pain first and then treat the ailment. And I would look around to find a doctor that thinks like that.
Good luck

Diabetes might be helped easily by taking on a handful of change in lifestyle. Learn here https://tr.im/S4PB1
The diet plan really should be made up of plenty of fiber and also wholesome foods. Eat four to 6 meals/snacks spread equally throughout a day. Commence doing exercises routinely. Supplements could help too. Flax oil, daily multivitamin, bitter melon, garlic, onion, and stevia might help.

I'm not sure why you "can't take pain meds".
There are a couple of non-narcotics that can work for fibro: Lyrica & Cymbalta.
For the other pain, there are always narcotics. Your doc may not want to give them to you for some reason.
Make a list of questions for him/her. Sit down at an appointment and ask WHY. You have the right for an explanation.
Good luck.

I suffered terrible pain from peripheral neuropathy. I got rid of the pain with large doses of vitamin D3. Google "vitamin D pain relief" or go to the first link.
Every symptom you mention can be helped with vitamin D3. I used 50,000 IU per day for three days and then 10,000 IU per day. The pain was gone within a week.
"Vitamin D deficiency is an epidemic. Up to 85% of people in the US, even so-called 'Healthy' people are being diagnosed with Vitamin D Deficiency in HUGE numbers- putting them at risk for cancers, heart disease, osteoporosis and other problems that doctors have not caught onto yet."
"Chronic Pain is ALSO an epidemic, with about 1/3 of people suffering from some sort of pain and with the vast majority taking pain medication, chronic pain causes a MASSIVE amount of unnecessary suffering."
"I say UNNECESSARY because, these 2 entirely different epidemics are completely connected. In fact, the epidemic of Vitamin D deficiency may be CAUSING the epidemic of chronic pain!!"

I myself suffer from Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Fibromyalgia,Anemia, and chronic back pain. My family Dr. referred me to pain management. I'm not sure WHY you can't but I would definitely seek help from another Doctor.. I really can't understand why your physician wouldn't want to help you live comfortable, as if living with diabetes isn't tasking enough... something else gets added on.. Jeez.. I wish you well..
