Is he really wanting to watch tv or is he expecting more?

I met a guy online recently. We've been out twice, talked on the phone, and text often. I like him, he seems decent. On our second date he asked me back to his place to watch a tv show we had talked about over dinner. I felt it was too soon, I've only had two meals with him, so I said I would rather just stay at the restaurant and keep talking. Over texts he's asked me over again, and I honestly have commitments keeping me from accepting, but I don't think I would anyway. This is too soon, right? Or am I being overly suspicious of this guy who really just wants to watch tv with me?

Update:

I know I sound naive hahahaa... I'm recently divorced and slowly getting back into dating after a decade and a half. I'm trying to be smart about this. And believe me, if I don't want it to happen, it won't, period. But thanks for the encourgement :)

if your comfortable with him which you really can't say since you've been out on a date only twice. try the cinema, that way there's some people around in case he makes his move. you know...

He definitely doesn't want to watch television. If you're not ready to get naked with him, it's best to stay away from his place for now. You didn't include ages, so it's difficult to say where his maturity level or head might be at, but most guys think with one head, and it's not the one near their skull.

i kinda doubt he *just* wants to watch tv. i mean, he's a guy.

there's no reason to make yourself feel uncomfortable or put yourself in an awkward position, so if you're not feeling like this is the right time to go to his house and .. stuff.. then don't! all there is to it, really.

Say okay, but let him know it won't be anything more than that.
