Question about pc tv tuners?

My question is in regards to video quality. Will I get better video quality using a vcr/external tuner and using rca cables to hook up to video inputs on my computer compared to hooking the coaxial cable straight into the computer?

To clarify:

Option 1) coaxial cable>vcr>rca>video input jack on computer

Option 2)coaxial cable>coax input on computer

Which will get better video quality or will it make a difference at all? Thanks

there isnt a difference between both of this kind of connections only way there would be a difference is if you put an upscaler between the coaxial and the computer if you want to turn the channel thru the vcr that would be ok or if you want to us computer to turn the channels then connect it straight your computer if you have MCE with a remote.
