What color goes best with this black and white bedroom?

This is my guestroom bedding. I want to paint or accessorize with an accent color. I thought of a blood red, but would like to have other ideas besides the reds and pinks. What color would you suggest?

Here's the bedroom: www.uniksolutions.com/guestroom.jpg

HELP ME DECIDE! :)

Update:

here is the website again: http://www.uniksolutions.com/guestroom.jpg

I want elegance, do you think lime green could be elegant with this? I'm putting in a crystal chandelier with a black shade too...

I couldn't open the website, but let's consider drama other than red, which is overdone & dated. I suggest gray walls, like Sherwin Williams #7074 Software #7072Online for the ceiling. Crown molding would look great...white for trim & white linen for window treatment. Add a lime green bed scarf & accent pillows. Black framed prints in black, white & lime for wall decor. An accent chair in lime. Silver lamps, a silver framed mirror over the dresser. Maybe even mirrored nt stands, like the ones at Pottery Barn.

Got the website - thanks. And yes, I think some lime green can look VERY elegant. One of my best, most elegant, sophisticated & wealthiest clients combined black, white & lime in her living room, & it's pretty fantastic & quite sophisticated. I think the key is the gray walls with TOUCHES of lime green accents. The crystal chandalier will look extremely well with the gray walls & mirrored nt stands. How about a black upholstered headboard??? Check Bassett Furniture's website.

    Red Black And White Bedroom

First of all, there is nothing classier and more fun that a black and white bedroom with pops of color. I love it!! If it were my room, I would go with the lime green color -- because I think the lime green is fresh, fun, bold, and still classy. You could go with the blood red or fuschia pink and get the same effect -- although, I think the red, black, and white is nice -- but it's very classic. If you're older than 30, it would work great. If you're younger, then have fun! You could also throw in some gray and add bright yellow. I had a gray and yellow room some time ago, and I loved it. I woke up every morning feeling refreshed and happy. Yellow looks great with black and white. Bright yellow, of course. You could also do orange. I personally don't like orange as a color, but it would work with the black and white too. Your options are endless. You have to consider what colors do to YOU. How do they make you feel? Think about how you dress. If you were wearing a black and white patterned dress -- what color necklace/purse/earrings would you wear? What colors are you drawn to? Buy the comforter you want, and then get one pillow each in yellow, lime green, blood red, fuschia, orange. Put the pillow up against the comforter -- and see which combo speaks to you. Just don't overdo the pop color. It only works when it's a pop of color placed strategically and sporadically throughout the room. Good luck!!!

P.S. A deep, dark plum would also go. There are so many options!

The cinnamon, or orange cedar color is in. It will give the black and white a cozy feel

Plum goes good with black and white, it will give the black and white a warm good nite rest feel

A water blue goes good with black and white and it gives you a relaxed feeling when you look at it.

If i was you, i would not go with red paint because the color red gives energy it is too bright, and loud. When you are away from home it is already hard enough to sleep in someone else's bed let alone look at a color that keeps you up all night. Red would be nice if you have pictures or decorations but not paint. Red paint goes good in areas that you want to be active, like an excercise room, or a red kitchen or work area etc. If you want red, a reddish orange may be okay if it is not too bright. Pink is cute but it is all about shade you have to pick a shade that does not get boring quick because pink has that affect unless it is your favorite color, also a male may not want to stay in a pink room. Pink is more for couple or females. Some shades of pink are great!

You may want to go to your local paint store and ask for color that are not dull or get boring quick that give the room a hotel, or comfortable at home feel.

You can also shop in a store and find decorations you would love to go in your guest room and let that inspire you as to a color. If you can not find an exact color you can also try a theme, for example you can buy asian art or a tropical island theme that has colors in it and let it replace an exact color and let the abstract colors in that make the room come alive. Have fun!

I work on a hotel and we have both colors white and black so what I do I change accessories every three months, I notice that if is summer we add Colors as turquoise and yellow make it fun, then on winter we change them for Red and marfil blue you know the blue on the congress hall, look white and black are neutral so what you can do is add two colors that goes well together so the black and White would just go along.

A medium taupe would be very elegant, and you could add touches of burgandy, instead of the red. Or a cool blue, an ice blue, would be pretty as well. I would stay away from a blood red for any bedroom, for one thing, aside from being a color of excitement, and non relaxing, the black/white/red theme is way overdone and predictable.
