GMC 8100 Vortec Crankshaft Position Sensor Removal?

Anyone have any tips or tricks for removing the crankshaft position sensor from an 8.1L? I punched out the firewall by the accelerator, so access is not a problem. I've soaked it in PB Blaster. The damn thing is stuck and refuses to budge and I don't want to break it off (because pulling my engine is not on my to-do list). Any thoughts, tips, tricks, or words of encouragement to keep me from lighting my Yukon on fire out of frustration?

Thanks in advance!

Update:

Thanks for the suggestion. I forgot to mention that the engine is already at operating temperature... I am truly stumped and frustrated...lol

Update 2:

Hank, that's what I'm working on. It will spin freely, but I can't get it to pry out. I have the first O-ring out/exposed, but it still won't come out. Only spins... Do you know if there is more than one O-ring to hang up on the OEM part?

First rich the truck won't start let alone get hot. Now for the question at hand. Once the PB blaster has soaked for a few hours respray it and then grab it with a pair of vise grips. Then turn it back and forth. Once it turns grip the sensor close to the block with the vise grips and use a screwdriver to pry it out.

sure, it could. i've got not considered too a lot of those sensors circulate undesirable nonetheless. What I certainly have considered circulate undesirable an excellent form of the time is the wiring getting fried by way of how that is routed in the path of the motor section. make certain your wiring is robust right down to the sensor in the previous changing the sensor. sturdy success.

Maybe if you let the engine get hot you can work it
