Depending on how hard you want to drive you could make it in two days, but it will probably take three.

I can get from Dallas to Nashville in one long day, but you can not get from Dallas to Phoenix in one day.

I used to live in Nashville and actually live in Arizona now...but about 60 miles south of Phoenix. It can take about 3 days, if you make a moderate amount of stops on the way and stop to sleep every night.

Otherwise, I've been on road-trips where we've made it from Boston, MA, to Phoenix in three days...but oh-so tired when we arrived! Good luck :)
