Does opening the xbox 360 to make aesthetic changes get you banned from live?

I want to open my xbox and cut a design into the top, but I also don't want to get banned.

Alright. I had heard that there was a switch or something, but I'll give it a shot. thanks for the help

    it wont get you banned from live, there isn't a magic tracking device in the plastic case that alerts Microsoft, but in opening it you rip a sticker which will void your warranty if that is a nonissue go ahead (carefully of course)

    Nope. Only things that mess with the firmware or electronics will get you banned.
