With all due respect, Muslims are always asking for respect & tolerance, but when do they show it?
"Muslim outrage is easily provoked"

Shhhhhhh, we're told. Don't protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don't burn a Koran. It'll imperil the troops. It'll inflame tensions.
The "Muslim world" will "explode" if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the "Muslim world" not ready to "explode"?
At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.
Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah's avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch.
The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London's St. Paul's Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were "premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere."...

Modern Islam is a pathetic shadow of the once-noble Muslim civilization. What happened to you guys? You haven't made a contribution to world culture in 800 years. You have no science, you have no literature, you import your architects and have them build vulgar trash Donald Trump would be ashamed to acknowledge. You have no classical music, your system of laws hasn't changed in 1200 years. You demand respect, but do nothing to deserve it. 300 million of you can't defeat 5 million Jews--those notorious warriors. How humiliating! Get off your fat asses, educate your people, stop trying to fix the blame for your failure on the West and Israel, stop dwelling on the past, get with the program.
Reform yourselves, or we'lll do it for you.
As for the pathetic people talking about how " not all muslims blah blah..." wake up and listen to the voice of the people. I'm listening to a radio show right now from Canada, AM640, talking about this very issue. WAKE UP! this is a real issue.
@ Y. I ask you... where are all the Tibetan Buddhist suicide bombers ? That occupation has killed more then islam can EVER claim the West & Isreal has. Millions of people dead.... yet not ONE strapping on a bomb. They will burn themselfs before they harm YOU or me. YOU ARE DISMISSED.
@ Dream L " Only 20% of muslims are violent" Do you understand that 20% = a few million people ????????? Daft!

"It'll inflame tensions."
Yeah, acts like that do tend to piss people off. That's what they're designed to do.
"...warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf."
You don't know who Rauf is, do you? He has gone to Afghanistan four times- twice under Bush and twice under Obama- as a Muslim supporting OUR side in an attempt to bridge the gap between peoples.
I'm guessing that you have no evidence for your claim that he is a 'sharia-peddler.' I'm also guessing that you don't even know what sharia law is or what it entails.

Ah, so we should stoop to the level of Muslim extremists! What a wonderful idea! :D

They never going to show respect, and it's just not only the extremist. In Iraq, the greater majority of Iraqis were aiding the "extremists", so what the hell are extremist than? All of Iraq?
Christians, this day and age, are not even that insane compared to the greater majority of Muslim. Take for example South Park, they got threaten with death by assassination when they were going to depict Allah in their own imagination until our protected Amendment; Freedom of Speech. The sad part is they would do what they say, just like Theo Van Gogh.
Remember that reporter who expose the terrible mistreatment to women and idolatry of Allah was assassinated by the a Muslim Sec that were not even part of a cell.
I am not the type of person who just forgives and forgot. Most Americans did not have their family die in 9-11, or all the many terrorist attacks against US by "extremist" since well AFTER WW2. =/
They said Alqueda paid those pilots but they never found how they source the money but know it was through a Muslim church account, yea I said church on purpose since Muslim Mosque account sounds awkward.
Well, that's enough. Btw, respect is earn and not given because it's easily taken away but hard to get.
The sad part is more and more Americans riding on the Muslims testicles. I guess a campaign of terrorism shows more fruits than a campaign of peace and equality. How long have minorities try to get this with no avail? Centuries last time I checked. Yet, get some "extremists" and now they get free taxpayer checks to go to American colleges and universities, to start their own American business, and just about all the aid they can get =/

Hey, don't group all muslims together as being rude! I'm a shia muslim girl and I respect and tolerate everyone. Or try to anyway. I tend to be very nice to people. I was always taught that even if someone is not my brother or sister in faith, they are still my human equals and should be treated as such. I'm quite sorry you have met such rude "muslims" that give Islam a bad reputation, but take it from me: One of the biggest parts of Islam is some thing called Akhlaaq: Good manners.

They show respect every day, to each other, to their beliefs.
Unfortunately everyone else who is doing something they do not like they are seriously disrespected.
If you have ever met someone who is paranoid, they believe everybody is out to get them. The fact that no one wants to kill them, or lie to them or cheat them cuts no ice, everybody who does not believe is evil and out to get the chosen.
Now bullies use threats and fear. But you know what bad behaviour always goes wrong, like a riot for no good reason. Why riot when simply confiscating the item would have worked? I think some Imam got a little carried away. It just shows you how easily the sheep follow.
Guys I am not defending christianity, America or anyone. Bad things are done everywhere by evil and disturbed people. But you need a little honesty to say muslims make mistakes to and people do crazy stuff without it being evil or bad. Take music, and acting and art. Are these all evil too? Do you really think the Taliban is the answer to the whole world?

It is all down to theology. On the first page of the Koran in 2.10 it reads 'there is a disease in their hearts (of unbelief, see 2.7), and Allah added to their disease and they shall have a painful chastisement''
.
If a person does not accept Islam because Allah could aclually have willed their 'unbelif'' in him, (otherwise it would an insufferable rejectory insubordination) then some Muslims can then feel that they are obliged to be part of the 'painful chastisement' promised against them.
.
Exculpatory 'context' wouldn't apply here since Allah is speaking directly about unbelief' in him which exists at all points in human time. .

Respecting someone else's religion is worse than disrespecting their own. Hence, no voice is heard when 32 Mosques are demolished in Pakistan in the name of security for Musharaf's convoy.
The terrorists in Kashmir have set fire on famous mosques like Charar e Sharif and the Harat Bal mosque (supposed to have a beard of Mohamed).
But these guys have created havoc in the name of religion in Kashmir and rest of the world.

On a whole around 20% of the Islam population is into violence, the rest 80% believe in peace and harmony. Majority of the Islamic state does not have good education because of the madarasa system. They teach more of religious things and less of common education that could refine a person unlike the other countries. This is the core problem of the public in majority being pulled out by this 20% of the Islamic Lunatics, to create instability over minor issues being triggered as emotional and religious related issues. They need the rest of the 80% to be instable and feel in secured for them to achieve their belief, wants and needs. IF proper education can be provided for the 80% of the Islamic population who are really good by heart and soul, this situation that is prevailing would change dramatically. Unfortunately it is not as easy as it is said, because the 20% of the Islamic lunatics will not allow that to happen and would again create a religious sentiment issue out of this activity.
Education and awareness is the only solution to this problem.

You can write a book about Muslims intolerance from your own history book. We know what is going on and are ever ready to defend our fort with people like you. Peaceful and tolerance need to be solicited by an equal gesture. Don't provoke if you do not want any violent. As simple as that. We are not cowards. We have our courage to stand up for our rights.
People like you will cause so much unrest to start a fire. Muslim are dieing to be a martyr. Don't make them do it for a stupid reason. Try to calm the boiling heat and live together in harmony.

The only problem I have with the article is calling it "the Muslim world." There are plenty of Muslims who aren't part of that world described.
I had a person in my life once that I wanted to get rid of. They'd been in it for merely months. I was afraid if I kicked them out, they'd get violent. So I considered keeping them the term of our agreement to avoid this. As many people pointed out to me -- if you are afraid to get rid of someone because they will get violent, it's a good idea to confront them & get rid of them.
That person did make a stink in my life & cost me. They had serious issues. However, they are not in my life & I was much better off for it. Nothing I would have done to placate them would have worked for long or in the long run.
