Hawaii (Maui) or Atlantis in the Bahamas?

My friends and I are going to one of these places over Christmas vacation. Which should we go to and why?! If you haven't been to either of them, which would you rather go to?

    Hawaii!!! Its a guarantee the weather will be great, but the bahamas (Nassau) could be chilly that time of year as it is basically straight east of miami which can get chilly at times. Besides, I have been to the bahamas and never to hawaii.

    If long destinations and ticket costs are no problem for you, then go to Hawaii.

    I am uncomfortable with long hours of Flying with high cost of tickets , so I would make myself comfortable at Atlantis. The Bahamas is very close to the United States, if you live there..
