First trip to Vegas...what show should we see? What club is good?
My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Las Vegas in January. We will probably stay at Paris as it seems to be very affordable and is in the middle of the strip. I know we want to see Zumanity. Any suggestions on a second show to see? Also, what's a good club to go to? We are in our late 20s and love to dance. I was also thinking of taking a helicopter ride over the strip at night. Has anyone done this? How much should we expect to pay and was it worth it?

Hey,
I live in Vegas and have seen most shows on the strip. I recommend O by Cirque du Soleil. That show is simply incredible, but expensive. Jersey boys at the Palazzo is really good and Ka at the MGM is a favorite amongst many. If you check some of the review sits, Terry Fator get's stellar reviews and he is hilarious, if you're into ventriloquism. To make sure you get the best deals, go to one of the local sites and check their deals pages. try http://www.vegas.com/shows and you'll find a lot of options. That's the quickest way for me at least.
As far as clubs go, I recommend Tao, Pure, Jet, LAX, XS, Surrender, Haze...gosh there's so many of them out there! What kind of music are you into? These are all really solid clubs and you'll have a lot of fun. Check out your options at http://www.vegas.com/nightlife/
Never done a helicopter tour of Vegas but seen the city plenty of times flying in. It's probably a really nice view but I'd save my money for the strip, or perhaps do a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon or something.

I just came from Vegas with my GF a month ago and I can tell you, don't waste your money on that tour. First off it's pretty expensive, I believe like 125 per person for like an hour. There are so many other things you can do with the money. The Paris is nice, but I prefer the MGM. The Excalibur was pretty cheap too, but lower quality of room and both in prime locations. We didn't go to any clubs, but there everywhere. We went to Cheap Trick concert and the Variety Show. The variety show was pretty cool. I can tell you this, buy tickets in advance. Criss Angel has his show in the Luxor, but it's a bit pricey. Don't buy food in Vegas, you'll go broke. The buffet's are key and coupons. Good Luck n Have Fun

If you're going to see a Cirque show, don't see Zumanity. I'd definitely go with O, or if you're on a budget, go with Ka. They are both better than Zumanity. As for second show, go cheap, find some coupons and see multiple shows. Something like Matsuri is pretty fun and cheap.
Anyways, there's some coupons at http://www.mycheapvegas.com/ as well as some good hotel specials you can check out.
Cheers!
