Can colleges reject you depending on your age and major?

I'm 18 years old and I want to major in Paralegal Studies. I applied like 2 weeks before the deadline, took the Placement test, and I still haven't gotten an acceptance letter. I want to know if I'm too young for that major or if it's another reason why I haven't been accepted yet. I'm really trying to be optimistic but now it's starting to upset me because I had my heart set on starting college this quarter. :( Oh, it's a technical college also.

You should not be rejected for being too young. However, if the college you applied to is full or no longer providing the major you requested, you may get rejected. This is normally pretty rare depending on the college. It can take a while before you hear anything back. It can sometimes take as long as 3-4 months.

I don't know why you think you're too young for that major. Majors don't have age requirements.
