Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert: Rally To Restore Sanity?

Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert are going to have a "Rally To Restore Sanity" for the 80% of moderate that have been alienated by a 24 hour news media obsessed with reporting the absurd.

What a brilliant idea, unfortunately I will not be able to make it.

Although I have sod all to do that day, I also have sod all money, so I wont be able to fly to the USA & it's a bit too far to swim !

I sincerely hope that this wakes up a few yanks to how appallingly they are manipulated by their media.

I wonder if anyone wants to organise a similar rally here, for us before it's too late, as Britain is unfortunately going the same way.

btw - I really want the spider placard !

I already got my ticket to DC. I guess I was one of the first, since I got a $1 ticket on Bolt Bus (only the first ticket sold is $1, my wife's ticket cost us $15).

EDIT: Wolfette, he's not trying to prove anything. It's a political comedy show. It's satire. He is saying that Glenn Beck is ridiculous. He isn't saying he isn't ridiculous too. As a comic, he's supposed to be ridiculous. Beck is supposedly on a news channel, what's his excuse?

I'm loving it - absolutely loving it. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend, mainly because - like Stewart said - I actually have things to do. Hope this goes through, though! Loving it, just loving it...

I doubt that will go well. But if it does, that would be nice.

80% of moderates are going to show, huh? I have to tell you, I believe many people who voted Obama are extremely upset with their vote. But we'll let the elections decide that. I agree with Pelosi, elections have consequences. As does ignoring the electorates wishes.
